Our Story
It all began with a fascination for kinetic art.
After discovering the intricate wooden sculptures of American artist David C. Roy, founder Terry became inspired to create something more accessible — a piece of moving art anyone could enjoy.
Years of design, experimentation, and refinement followed. Every prototype explored how movement and geometry could evoke the same sense of wonder and serenity.
In 2023, Terry and his partner Cloudi unveiled their first prototypes at the Eumundi Markets on the Sunshine Coast. The reaction was instant — people stopped mid-stride, mesmerised by the fluid, breathing motion.
From that moment, Moving Mandalas became more than art — they became a gateway to calm.
Our Journey
From our small workshop on Australia’s Sunshine Coast to a growing global audience, the journey of Moving Mandalas has been nothing short of extraordinary.
In 2024, our launch in Japan exceeded all expectations — our crowdfunding campaign was fully funded within days, supported by a wave of heartfelt enthusiasm from the Japanese community.
Japan has a deep cultural appreciation for mindfulness, balance, and craftsmanship — values that align perfectly with our vision for Moving Mandalas. The attention to detail, quiet precision, and respect for simplicity that define Japanese design are the same qualities we strive to embody in every piece we create.

Designer, craftsman, and creative mind behind Moving Mandalas. With a background in graphic design, prop making, and signage, Terry brings together precision, patience, and play — transforming materials into motion and ideas into harmony.
Cloudi
Product developer, nature lover, and co-creator. Raised in the foothills of Mt Warning National Park, she carries a deep appreciation for nature’s rhythms — reflected in the balanced beauty and grounding energy of every mandala.
